I always have a few top secret projects in development. As soon as I’m allowed to share, I post about them here.
(More announcements coming soon!)
Inspector Quack and the Case of the Missing Underpants
This series is like if Amelia Bedelia starred in Knives Out as a duck who helps look for things (plus: butt jokes). I’m having endless cheeky fun creating it with the wonderful Heather Fox. We can’t wait for you to meet the lookers and finders at Quack Inspections! Hold on to your heinies: This is not a normal case of missing underpants…
From PW Children’s Bookshelf:
Liz Kossnar at Little, Brown has acquired world rights to Inspector Quack and the Case of the Missing Underpants and a second book in a new graphic chapter book series, Inspector Quack by Anica Mrose Rissi (l.), illustrated by Heather Fox, which follows the bumbling but lovable Chief Inspector Quack and her two Special Inspector Buns as they get to the bottom of various mysteries. Publication will begin in winter 2028; Michael Bourret at Dystel, Goderich & Bourret represented the author, and Elena Giovinazzo at Heirloom Literary represented the illustrator.
Girl Reflected in Knife
This is a book filled with wild ambition and creative risks. I can’t wait to share it with you. Find preorder links and more info here!
From PW Children’s Bookshelf:
Andrew Karre at Dutton has acquired, in an exclusive submission, Girl Reflected in Knife by Anica Mrose Rissi. The novel, which weaves together concepts of fantasy and reality and unravels notions of logic and time, follows a heartbroken teen who tells a desperate lie and starts to lose track of her own truth. Publication is slated for April 2026; Michael Bourret at Dystel, Goderich & Bourret negotiated the deal for world rights.
